Kid Friendly Gluten-Free Entrees

Celiac disease is the main reason for Gluten-Free diets.  There are those who are also Gluten-Intolerant or Gluten-Sensitive.  These conditions don’t necessarily start at birth although you do have the gene that will activate it.  It can start at any age in life.

It truly only effects a small percentage of people.  But there are many who are effected that are children.  So this week I’m offering a couple of children friendly entrees.

I’ve found that it seems all children like two foods.  Macaroni and Cheese and Chicken Nuggets are the two I’ve observed.

You can buy these products at the store but they are very expensive.  All GF food seems to be very expensive.  So if you can make these dishes at home, it can lower your costs.

I’ve found a couple of recipes for both and think you will like the two I’m posting this week.  Just remember to always double check that ALL your ingredients are Gluten-Free.

So tomorrow, I have “Chicken Nuggets” for you to try on your small fries.  Then on Thursday, try “Southern Macaroni Pie” for a great comfort food.

For the chicken nuggets, the only additional cost over regular nuggets is the GF flour.  As far as the macaroni pie is concerned, the pasta and topping (depending on which you use) are the added costs.

But making both is less expensive than buying them in the GF freezer section of the grocery store.

So “Happy Cooking” until next week.  Please give me thoughts, questions or ideas on Gluten-Free recipes or life style.  Be sure to share the link and thank you.
